If you’ve got a need for speed, then BMW’s got the bike for you. The newly introduced 2013 HP4 combines slick, futurisitic styling, high-tech gadgetry, and a precisely tuned 4-cylinder, 1000cc engine, which is taken from the BMW S 1000 RR. Clocking in at just 373-pounds dry (439 with the tank 90 percent full), the HP4 is the lightest sportbike in the 1000cc-class, according to BMW. The HP4 is capable of cranking out 193 horsepower at 13,000 RPM and 82 foot-pounds of torque. And BMW says the HP4 comes off the showroom floor ready for a day at the track — “no modifactions needed.” In other words: Twist the throttle with caution.
