Alright McGyver, if you enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning while camping out in the wilderness, listen up. The folks at HeatGear have invented a flameless heat source that will make your portable stove obsolete. Why? Essentially, the Heatstick is a lightweight stick that contains a propane and butane mix in an aluminum cylinder that holds enough fuel to boil liquid directly, up to 6 to 9 liters (1.6 to 2.4 gallons). Because it doesn't rely on flame and works inside a container, there's no interference from the wind or weather. It's designed to work across all temperatures and weather conditions, rain or shine (-22 F to 122 + F, -30 C to 50 + C). The self-contained nature of the system allows you to cook as you're moving to next destination, while the water for your lunch boils in your pack.
